Being Ukraine: An Introduction to Europe’s Eastern Vanguard

Being Ukraine is an online educational resource written by students in the first-year seminar “Being Ukraine” at Connecticut College and edited by Professor Andrea Lanoux. The project was carefully scaffolded with research instruction classes in the early stages followed by drafts submitted for editing. In the final weeks, students were instructed on adding content to the Pressbooks site and adding copyright-free photographs.

Reimagining Equality: Feminist Theory Defined by Connecticut College Scholars

Reimagining Equality is an open book created by students in Professor Ashley Hanson’s Feminist Theory course. Students worked in small groups to create a Pressbook as a way to demonstrate their knowledge of feminist theory, apply that knowledge to case studies, and to teach others about the topic. Each small group defined the assigned term and researched examples of a writing/creative piece/manifesto/article that demonstrated their concept.
